Bosnia war crimes arrest ends tragically

ISN - Bosnian Serb war crimes suspect Dragomir Abazovic has been arrested by European police forces (EUFOR) after a tragic shootout in which the suspect's wife was killed and his son wounded.

EUFOR has said it returned fire in self-defense and suffered no causalities in the late Thursday shootout in the eastern Bosnian town of Rogatica.

An Italian contingent of EUFOR on Thursday attempted to arrest Abazovic, a former major in the Bosnian Serb army, indicted for war crimes against Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslims) during the 1992-1995 war.
